Sand Treasures contain a large variety of coins, both world coins and old Canadian coins.

Although Canada is it's own sovereign country, it is also part of what is traditionally called the British Commonwealth, an association of 53 nations, most former British colonies. By tradition, the reigning monarch of the Commonwealth (i.e. the Queen/King of England) is represented on the coins of Canada.

The Canadian coins in Sand Treasures are at least 55 years old, before Queen Elizabeth II came to the throne. The monarch's found on the Canadian coins are Queen Elizabeth's father, George the Sixth and grandfather, George the Fifth.
